ABOUT
“Underground” was one of the words used to represent the counterculture of the 1960s. This was an “underground” that opposed traditional norms, broke from the dominant system, and did not join in the general flow of commerce. It includes a wide variety of meanings. Has the word “underground” now become a thing of the past? Contemporary society may look free at first glance, but everything seems to be socially and economically restricted to a high degree. In the present era in which new constraints on freedom and old restrictions pop in and out of view, “underground,” both as a word and as an attitude, seems to have begun regaining its relevance.
What is “underground” in the present day? At the Image Forum Festival 2022 we attempt to show the contemporary significance of the word “underground” through events such as talks on the state of moving image works and screening culture.

Admission tickets for SHIBUYA SKY are specified date and time tickets―in other words, the day and time of admission are fixed. So please decide the date and time of your visit before purchasing tickets.
You can see the Rooftop “LIVE” Theater program only by an admission ticket for SHIBUYA SKY which corresponds with the day and time of the screening.
There are online tickets, which can be purchased from the website in advance and specify day and time of admission, and same-day over-the-counter tickets, which can be purchased at the ticket counter and specify the time of admission.
