While sharing the same suffering, there is nothing he and his friend can do about each other’s anguish. The melancholy, heated thoughts of this pair that drifts farther apart even as they become closer. While employing the method of structural film that in the past has tended to give a cold, inorganic impression, this work takes “emotion” at stop-motion speed in an expression of being brought infinitely close to the inside of your partner.
　

ASAO Takaya

Born in 1994. Comes from Fukuoka Prefecture. Currently enrolled at Kyushu Sangyo University. ongoing dialogue (2017), the film presented at this festival, is his first work and was made in his third year seminar class. This is also the first time he has entered a competition. Wants to continue making films based on the theme of examining the influence of innate characteristics and acquired phenomena.
