The choreography of the dancer at the start is gradually buried in the grain of a photograph. Her body in the midst of a crowd. One moment you are pleasantly intoxicated by the beauty of the texture of film, and the next a single, tight shot of someone’s room is suddenly inserted and burned into your eyes. An ambitious work that, inspired by the absoluteness of the viewing time given to the audience, seeks the essence of moving images by skillfully positioning the languorous and the instantaneous.
Began making moving image works around 2013. Major works include in the room (2014) and NUMB (2016).
