In this stop-motion film the sky seen from a window in the filmmaker’s house is captured using interval shooting from July 1st, 1988 to June 30th of the following year, a period that corresponded to the transition between the Showa and Heisei eras in Japan. The ultimate diary film, it thoroughly considers the sense that “cinema is created by the critical discrepancy between the time of filming and the time of screening” obtained from 15 Days. “Human culture is created through interacting with nature, and I think this kind of‘ cinematic work’ can exist as one such way of interacting.”(SUZUKI Shirouyasu)
