“Le mur,” French for “the wall,” is a film of invisible walls. It is based on an installation by contemporary artist TATARA TARA. The room of a patient who has been committed to a hospital has walls in all directions. From there it is impossible to know what the scenery is like outside. The daily routine in the hospital is pacing around a room surrounded by walls.
Experimental filmmaker/scholar. Examines the differences between what we actually see and what is captured by a camera and appears on screen through. His works focus in particular on time created on film and time as it exists in reality. Also creates many works of fine art or works dealing with fine art. Member of the executive committee of the Japan Society of Image and Sciences Analogue Media Study Group.
