Wrapped in the roots of a large tree, I had a dream. Capillaries covering my back and my body convey sounds of water ascending. Sometimes the sounds of falling water echo, “plop plop,” and it is very relaxing. In this place I was quietly, quietly waking up.
　

KOIKE Teruo

Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1951. Aspired to play the flute or taiko drums in his twenties, but went to work for an Iranian oil combine without this dream coming to fruition. Encountered oil painting, film, and poetry, made Ecosystem – 1 in 1981, and as of 2017 has made 25 films in this series.
