THE RAW HILMU / N! DADA

THE RAW HILMU / N! DADA

OKUYAMA Jun’ichi / digital / color / 20min. / 2017

Placing raw (unexposed) film in a projector, I use an electric drill and soldering iron to damage and melt it…
I reveal the differences between the front and back of raw film by showing multiple images simultaneously, and observe other phenomena such as frame borderlines and the differences in appearance between images projected on the screen (transmitted images) and those on the side of the lamp (reflected images).
