feeling together

fukudapero/digital/25min/2026

Roars and shrieks sound in the dark. The camera turns to a man and woman ferociously cursing and hitting each other. The disturbance seems likely to grow and draw in the surrounding people in the village, but eventually the man and woman arguing break out in song, and their rage spreads into a group dance. Through a powerful single shot, this documentary poses questions about the relationships that bind the person who films, the people who are filmed, and the people who watch, that is, the audience.

Sleeping Eyes

MIYAKAWA Takuya/digital/12min/2026

The black object that falls from the sky is not a “monolith” but a smartphone. People whose freedom to read and see has been stripped away by the flood of visual information inundating modern society eventually have even their physical bodies symbolized and digitally transformed. This work attempts to satirically depict everyday scenes using video game engines, 3D capturing, and eye tracking technology.

MIYAKAWA Takuya
Studied moving image at the Image Forum Institute of Moving Image in 2025 and began creating works. After working in architectural design and as a VR engineer, now works independently. Creates moving image and interactive works that explore the relationship between the body and technology, using biometric data such as gaze and brainwaves, as well as game engines such as Unity.

Our Times

SONE Sora/digital/10min/2026

Double exposure cinematography creates a subtle discrepancy in the actions the characters perform in a peaceful landscape surrounded by greenery and a blue sky. Does this discrepancy show the possibility of a new “different” way of living, or the constraints of a repetitive daily life from which there is no escape? A longing for reality expressed through poetic text and the warm texture of analog film.

SONE Sora

Working across moving image, photography, and installation, they incorporate the characteristics of viewing environments and playback media into their works, seeking to reconstruct visual expression. My Winter Berry

TAKEHARA Yu/digital/9min/2026

Modest everyday life with a grandmother suffering from dementia is portrayed through warm animation interwoven with photographs and moving images. “Will love disappear along with memory?” A search for “my” place in a grandmother’s world that is slowly growing hazier. Like the filmmaker’s my mother, which was screened at the 2023 Image Forum Film Festival, this work deftly handles themes of memory and family.

Teteu

ISOBE Kazuya/digital/53min/2026

A documentary that follows Jabjab, a boy living in the forest in West Sumatra, Indonesia, with calm and peaceful footage. Indigenous people who choose a traditional lifestyle of coexistence with the forest are influenced by developments from the outside world and are ineluctably drawn toward changes in their way of life. Scenes of a boy going to the city to attend school are contrasted with those of a boy living in the forest through well-composed black and white and color footage.
