A masterpiece of concert film, documenting the legendary live performances of David Bowie (1947-2016).
The concept of the film is to depict the glory and downfall of “Ziggy Stardust,” a superstar from another planet. This is a monumental film documenting “the pinnacle of glam-rock” through the famed musician’s performance in 1972, filmed by D.A. Pennebaker, a pioneer of direct cinema. The film was digitally restored and remastered by producer Tony Visconti in 2002.
