10 works, 87 min.

A selection of experimental films representing the 70s West Coast USA, restored by the Academy Film Archive.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of the United States, the organizer of the world-renowned Academy Awards, is also in the business of preserving and restoring films. Its scope extends not only to so-called major films and commercial films, but also to avant-garde films. The Academy places particular emphasis on works by local filmmakers from the Los Angeles area. The program includes gems from the 70s and 80s, including some that have never been shown in Japan before.

Curation: Mark TOSCANO (Academy Film Archive)
