Let’s cook, eat, and communicate with filmmakers. Join us as we eat filmmaker’s specialties and chat with them while watching videos they will bring along. What you talk about may inspire the filmmakers to create new works…. Cookin’ with food and movies.
Cooking with Filmmakers 1：Lim Kar Wai + Ba Kut The
Malaysian-born Japanese film director Lim Kah Wai, known for “Your Lovely Smile” (2022) and “Come & Go” (2021), demonstrates how to make authentic Bak kut teh! He will show a rough cut of his latest film, “This Magic Moment”, which is currently in production, and talk about it.

IP Yuk-Yiu, a multimedia artist working in Hong Kong’s video and multimedia scene, is also a foodie and coffee shop enthusiast. We will discuss the future with Yip, who has been observing the ever-changing Hong Kong video scene.

Enjoy Potato Rosti with Maiko Endo, acclaimed as one of Japan’s edgiest filmmakers with works such as “KUICHISAN” (2011) and “TECHNOLOGY” (2016). Films screening may be unpublished works.
