Collective Monologue
A quiet “cooperative monologue” between human beings and animals. A meditative work in which kindness and complex ideas coexist.
This work is a documentary that carefully records the intimate interactions between animals and their caretakers at an animal protection center in Argentina. The delicate richness of interspecies communication between humans and animals occupies the foreground, while the perspectives of labor, exploitation, gender, and humanity’s colonialist attitude to the natural world associated with the institution of “zoos” appear in the background.
