Examining the expanding range of “experiments” based on works screened at recent Image Forum Festivals.
The importance of moving image works in the field of contemporary art has been increasing from the end of the last century to the present. We examine how the range of “experiments” in visual expression has been expanding through “short works” by interdisciplinary artists who transcend the boundaries between existing fields such as film, art, and animation. A selection of Japanese and South Korean works screened at IFF in recent years.
