This is the first and last feature film from Jòhan JÒHANNSSON who created musical scores for such films as “The Theory of Everything” and “Arrival” before meeting his early death in 2018. Based on the science-fiction novel of the same name, the film has 16mm black and white footage of “Spomenik,” the War Monument of former Yugoslavia with its unique and futuristic design which is eye-catching. The film’s innovative visual world which appears to transcend both time and space is what stirs the imagination of the audience. Narrated by Tilda SWINTON.
