An homage to Fritz LANG\u2019s Metropolis, it combines a compact camera  and a device created in the early days of cinema called the\u201c Kinora.\u201d  Along with images from the \u201cKinora,\u201d the filmmaker\u2019s humor-laced,  critical stance toward technology and modern history is layered atop  the marching of\u201c Maria,\u201d the female robot who appears in Metropolis.
