Upon the North Point a downpour of instants tease their way into sight, but never fully form. Shutter-induced memories reduced to speckles, dissipating into fog. Here, my initial disappointments in a material defect morph into opportunity – satisfying an itch to melt instances together, to see any number of places as one. These images were meant to show us what goes where – but I can’t make out the path. In another five days, I’ll need to leave. (S.L.)

A work in which four 16mm films are projected simultaneously. Abstract light that conveys the substantiality of film and personal scenes captured by the camera come together on the screen as a single image while resonating with each other. In the midst of a rushing stream of color, concrete shots are sucked under and return to the surface. The viewer is pulled back and forth between thought and visual perception, and in the process discovers a unique narrative.(I.S.)
